Agarwood (Aoud) Oil

Agarwood attar is extracted from naturally infected well matured agarwood trees (Aquilaria agallocha) by hydro steam distillation process. Agarwood tree is native to South and Southeast Asia. It is an evergreen tree that can grow up to forty meters. It is commonly called as aguru, aloeswood, aoud, eaglewood, gaharu, jinkhu, ood, oud and oudh. The tree produces a dark aromatic resin when they become infected with a type of mold (Phialophora parasitica). Prior to infection, the heartwood is odorless, relatively light and pale colored; however, as the infection progresses, the tree produces the resin, called aloes or agar, in response to the attack, which results in a very dense, dark, resin-embedded heartwood. This resin-embedded wood is highly valued in perfume industry for its distinctive fragrance.

Agarwood oil is hugely use as a single note attar (Concentrated Perfume Oil) as well as in high-end natural perfumery and traditional medicine. AynFaa agarwood attar is a sticky thick and dark brown liquid. It has an exotic aphrodisiac soft woody aroma with earthy, fruity, floral, sweet notes.

This attar is hundred percent pure, natural, organic, undiluted, therapeutic grade and distilled in Bangladesh.
