Vetiver attar is extracted from aromatic roots of Vetiveria zizanioides (recently renamed to Chrysopogon zizanioides) by steam (water) distillation process. It is commonly called as vetivert, khus or khus-khus. Vetiver is a perennial bunchgrass of the family Poaceae, native to tropical Asia. Vetiver roots are generally harvested after 15-24 months of planting but good quality oil obtain from 18 months old vetiver; though early harvesting gives higher yielding of oil. Vetiver oil is extensively used in aromatherapy, natural perfumery and traditional medicine.

Vetiver attar is a thick and dark green colored essence oil; produced from wild Bangladeshi vetiver roots. It has initial clean, clear earthy aroma that becomes deeper, woody and smoky as it dries. The intensity and complexity of aroma makes this an outstanding base note as well as an excellent fixative in perfumery.

This attar is hundred percent pure, natural, organic, undiluted, therapeutic grade and produced in Bangladesh.
