Vetiver oil is extracted from aromatic roots of Vetiveria zizanioides (recently renamed to Chrysopogon zizanioides) by steam distillation process using water. It is commonly called as vetivert, khus or khus-khus. Vetiver is a perennial bunchgrass of the family Poaceae, native to the Indian Subcontinent. Vetiver roots are generally harvested during November-January in Bangladesh. Roots are harvested after 15-24 months of planting but good quality oil obtain from 18 months old vetiver; though early harvesting gives higher yielding of oil.
Our vetiver oil is hundred percent pure, natural, therapeutic grade and produced in Bangladesh. Vetiver essential oil has an initial clean, clear earthy aroma that becomes deeper, woody and smoky as it dries. The intensity and complexity of aroma makes this an outstanding base note as well as an excellent fixative in perfumery. Vetiver oil is extensively used in aromatherapy, natural perfumery and traditional medicine.
