Aoud lovers know what is agarwood oil but for beginners we are writing something here regarding the Agarwood. It is commonly called as aguru, aloeswood, aoud, eaglewood, gaharu, jinkhu, ood, oud and oudh. Agarwood tree is native to South and Southeast Asia. It is an evergreen tree that can grow to forty meters.
The tree produces a dark aromatic resin when they become infected with a type of mold (Phialophora parasitica). Prior to infection, the heartwood is odorless, relatively light and pale colored; however, as the infection progresses, the tree produces the resin, called aloes or agar, in response to the attack, which results in a very dense, dark, resin-embedded heartwood. This resin-embedded wood is highly valued in perfume industry for its distinctive fragrance. Agarwood oil is hugely use as a single natural perfume oil (attar/ittar) as well as in high-end natural perfumery and traditional medicine.
The aromatic qualities of agarwood are influenced by the species, geographic location, age, length of time since infection, methods of harvesting and processing.
This oil is produced from more than twenty years old and naturally infected agarwood trees organically grown in wild environment of Assam, Bangladesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura hill tracts blockchain.
This wild agarwood oil has an exotic aphrodisiac soft woody aroma with earthy, fruity, floral, sweet notes.
Aoud Al Hindi is hundred percent pure, natural, organic, undiluted, therapeutic grade wild agarwood essential oil distilled in Bangladesh.
