Agarwood oil is procured by hydro distillation from resinous wood of Aquilaria agallocha. It is commonly called as aguru, aloeswood, aoud, eaglewood, gaharu, jinkhu, ood, oud and oudh. The agarwood tree is native to Bangladesh, Bhutan, Northeast India and parts of Southeast Asia. It is an evergreen tree that can grow to 40 meters. The tree produces a dark aromatic resin when they become infected with a type of mold (Phialophora parasitica). The aromatic qualities of agarwood are influenced by the species, geographic location, age, length of time since infection, methods of harvesting and processing. We produce this oil from well matured naturally infected organic agarwood trees. Our agarwood oil is 100% pure, undiluted, therapeutic grade and produced in Bangladesh.
Agarwood oil has an exotic aphrodisiac strong woody aroma which is gradually changed to very soft fruity-floral note on your skin or cloth. Agarwood oil is used extensively in perfumery, aromatherapy and ayurvedic medicine.
